Manchester City are convinced they will win the battle to sign Jude Bellingham next summer, according to Sun Sport.
The 19-year-old in is the most wanted midfielder in the world at the moment, with every big club across the club more than interested in making him their next big money signing.
Bellingham has made a name for himself in Germany, and a move to a bigger club in England or Spain seems destined to happen in the near future for the player.
All the top clubs have an interest in Bellingham. As per The Athletic, United, Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea are all interested in Bellingham, while Real Madrid are also thought to have the Englishman on their radar.
According to the latest information from Sun Sport, Manchester City are convinced they will win what is sure to be a battle of the big guns to bring him to England.
As per the report, City are certainly best-placed to do that, as well as offering the best chance of silverware – and the opportunity to link up with his old Dortmund team-mate Erling Haaland.
Haaland has told Jude Bellingham how much he is enjoying life at Man City – who have remained in the hunt for a top-level midfielder.
Pep Guardiola rates Bellingham so highly he believes he could eventually fill Kevin De Bruyne’s boots.
The English man, who still has three years on his contract, could leave Borussia Dortmund for just £83million next summer – if the entire fee is paid up front.
Should Man City sign Bellingham?
If they can, then absolutely. The Manchester club would be set for years in midfield if they actually managed to land him.
At 19, he is easily one of the best young midfielders in the world. As per FBref, Bellingham has ranked in the 85th percentile for progressive carries, the 97th for dribbles completed, the 97th for touches in the attacking penalty area and the 96th for progressive passes received among his positional peers over the last year.
He would be a superb addition to Pep Guardiola’s squad, though it looks like there is going to be a real scrap for his signature ahead of the 2023/24 season.
