‘Will easily break it’ – Liverpool fans think Man City star Erling Haaland will break Mo Salah’s record

Liverpool supporters are backing and have tipped Erling Haaland to break Mohamed Salah’s Premier League record before the Egyptian striker head away for World Cup duty in Qatar this November.

Haaland has been an impressive performer for Manchester City, who also signed Julian Alvarez, Kalvin Phillips, Manuel Akanji, and Sergio Gomes in the transfer window.

The Norwegian has already scored ten goals in his first six Premier League games. His performance spearheads the Citizens’ hopes of celebrating a fifth league title in six years.

He grabbed three goals in the opening 45 minutes to gun down Nottingham Forest at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday night — that was his second consecutive hat-trick after doing the same Crystal Palace — before adding another goal against Aston Villa.

Salah, meanwhile, has scored two goals and provided two assists, with Liverpool only picking up nine points from their opening six matches in the Premier League.

The Egypt captain set a new best goal tally in his debut season for the Reds, but the Norwegian has been tipped to eclipse it

In his first season at Liverpool, Salah scored 32 goals, which meant that the Egyptian had the most goals in a single league season.

Apart from the goals scored, he made 10 assists in 36 league appearances for Jurgen Klopp’s side, which is currently his best return in the English top flight to date.
