Amyeric Laporte has joked that he’s signed more balls for hat-trick hero Erling Haaland than he has signed contracts.
Haaland made history as the first Premier League player to get a matchball in three consecutive home games, after netting half of Man City’s derby day tally against Man United.
It followed on from his trio of goals against Crystal Palace and then Nottingham Forest, at the Etihad Stadium at the end of August.
With the formidable forward taking home his third Premier League matchball, fellow teammate Aymeric Laporte had a hilarious message for the striker.
Writing on the matchball after Sunday’s victory, the Spain defender hilariously wrote: “I have signed more balls for your hat-tricks than contracts.”

Erling Haaland also posted a picture on Twitter of himself next to Phil Foden – who also scored a hat-trick against Manchester United.
Laporte retweeted the image, attaching the comment: ‘This is going to cost a lot of money in foot balls lol’.

Laporte had missed the start of the season with a knee injury, sustained during the backend of the last campaign.
The Spain defender returned to first-team training prior to last months international break, and made his first appearance of the season against United this weekend.
Both Haaland and Laporte will hope to feature at the Etihad Stadium again on Wednesday, when the Blues welcome FC Copenhagen in the UEFA Champions League.
