Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has said that Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are the best team in the Premier League at the moment.
Arsenal continued to defy their doubters in the race for the Premier League title, taking full advantage of Manchester City’s slipup against Brentford to beat Wolves at Molineux and add a five-point gap between themselves and Pep Guardiola’s chasing pack.
In 13 matches, Arsenal have 34 points before playing Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday. Manchester City have 32 points in 14 matches to follow the Gunners.
City won the league title last season, and many will still back them to win the championship again this campaign.
But Guardiola has said that since Arsenal are at the top of the Premier League table at the moment, the Gunners have to be considered the best team in England right now.
When asked if Arsenal are the best team in the Premier League right now, Guardiola said: “Yeah. Who is the first in the Premier League because you are the best team.”
These Guardiola’s comments were shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.

TITLE RACE
In our opinion, Arsenal are very much in contention for the Premier League title this season, and Manchester City have to be careful.
Yes, City have the best team in England right now, but it is Arsenal who will head into the World Cup break at the top of the standings.
Considering the Gunners have barely put a foot wrong so far, you wouldn’t bet against them picking up from where they’ve left off when play resumes on Boxing Day.
