Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Barcelona have turned their attention away from the club, ruling out moves for Bernardo Silva in future.
Barcelona’s interest in Silva has been well documented. Silva’s father admitted earlier this season that his son and Barcelona had held discussions over a possible move before it was mutually called off.
The midfielder is expected to be the subject of enquiries again in the summer although Pep Guardiola is supposedly keen to retain the playmaker’s services.
According to Mundo Deportivo as relayed by Sport Witness, Barcelona have ‘definitely ruled out’ the potential signing of Bernardo Silva from Manchester City and will not return for him in the summer of 2023.
Mundo explain that Barcelona are ‘cool’ to the idea of signing Silva as the club’s fair play situation and his ‘high price tag’ mean the club don’t see a way in which they could make a deal happen.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.
