Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the club have shown an interest in Mason Mount.
The Premier League playmaker is facing an uncertain future having entered the last 18 months of his contract at Stamford Bridge and it’s been claimed that he’s joined forces with a new representative to try and secure a move elsewhere.
The Blues academy graduate has been attracting significant interest from the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United but also appears to have caught the eye of Pep Guardiola at the Etihad.
Football.london journalist Bobby Vincent has dropped a summary on Twitter with the actual report making clear that Chelsea are increasingly concerned their star Englishman could depart in the summer.
Exclusive: Understand Liverpool are seriously interested in Mason Mount this summer as talks over his Chelsea contract continue to stall. Both Manchester clubs have shown interest, but #LFC, I’m told, is a serious possibility. #CFC https://t.co/ZCfKXgRpK1

As per the report, Manchester City and United are understood to be interested in Mount but it’s Liverpool who are leading the way at the moment.
The report shared on Twitter gathered a number of replies from a wide range of Man City supporters.
@KhaleedMCFC: “Not again.”
@mcfcdvd: “How many more time you think we are gonna hear this from different source.”
@ClaireMulcahy17: “Stay away, he is not good enough to play pep ball.”
@slxvxid: “Keep him away.”
@mcfcalfie: “No thanks, it’s not that I don’t rate Mason Mount. I actually think he’s heavily disrespected by the general consensus. Just that I’d much prefer Mac Allister..”
@_Grxv: “I feel like he could work but I have my doubts. If Bernardo were to leave he’d be great to put a shift in for both his positions. It depends on the price tag here.”
@MisterCity19: “I think people have forgot how good Mount was a few years ago”
